Rearranging the World

July 04, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

I've often commented what a great office I have. A bay window, a fireplace, and plenty of room. I recently rearranged. My desk is now next to the bay window. I had no idea what I was missing all these years working with my back to the world. In a typical hour, I see hummingbirds, cardinals, robins, sparrows, a chipmunk, too many rabbits, and a variety of insects. I photograph them through the window, which seems like a terrible idea but I don't disturb their normal activity. It adds a touch of fuzziness to the images, but okay for enjoyment sake.

This dragonfly was sitting on the edge of a spider's web. I thought perhaps it was stuck. Or maybe eating....
